Launched in 2016, the educational program for the prevention of human trafficking provides teachers with the necessary resources to organize lessons and communicate effectively with students about the severity of this phenomenon and the safety measures they can take.

The program for the school year 2024-2025
It was designed as a continuation and enhancement of the educational programs from previous years. The program focuses on human trafficking and the trafficking of minors for sexual exploitation, as well as the main forms of abuse and sexual exploitation in the online environment.
However, it includes several new elements, namely:
The description of the loverboy method,which is the most commonly used tactic by traffickers in Romania to recruit victims for sexual exploitation.
Ten case studies that allow students to analyze different situations and apply the solutions presented in this guide.
A video produced by Europol regarding the online sexual abuse and exploitation of minors.
A safety plan consisting of a few good habits that students can adopt and apply to minimize vulnerabilities and prevent risky situations. The plan includes five practical applications through which students have the opportunity to create an individualized safety plan.
Information regarding the new legal provisions related to the age of sexual consent for minors and the obligation to report trafficking and exploitation of vulnerable persons or crimes against the sexual freedom and integrity of a minor.

The two lesson plans and the corresponding PowerPoint presentations were designed to empower students to recognize the specifics of these crimes, prevent the risks and vulnerabilities that could expose them to such situations, and understand their rights and responsibilities in the event of encountering such situations.

Receive the educational package
Within 15 working days from the submission of the partnership, you will receive the human trafficking prevention educational package via email. Please consider this time frame when planning your lesson.
Complete the evaluation form
After conducting the activity, you will receive an evaluation form. Once completed, you can request a certificate confirming your participation in this activity. Please fill out the evaluation form without abbreviations, as this data will appear in the certificate.
Approved Material
This material is approved by the Ministry of Education for the 2024-2025 school year. Educational Package for the Prevention of Human Trafficking – 2024-2025 This year, the implementation of the program is left to the discretion of educational institutions. You can organize the lesson during the class hour, as part of the ‘Școala Altfel’ week, during elective courses, or within school clubs. It is worth mentioning that the materials are structured in a way that makes them
