The connection between citizens and authorities
The low number of human trafficking cases detected and reported in Romania, compared to the estimated figures provided by international organizations, is a problem with multiple underlying causes. In this context, in July 2021, the Information and Assistance Center for Detecting and Reporting Human Trafficking Cases was inaugurated in Romania.
The Center serves as the bridge between citizens and authorities. It will provide citizens with information and assistance in reporting human trafficking cases to the responsible authorities.
